Vice Chair of the Partners for Community Wellness
Toni lives with her husband, Larry Young, in Hanover, New Hampshire. While growing up, Toni’s family moved frequently and living in Hanover for the past 25 years is the longest she’s lived anywhere. She is a social worker with a Masters in Social Work from New York University. She provided clinical services at Yale Psychiatric Institute in New Haven, Connecticut and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
In 1998 she joined William E. Boyle, Jr., and Jane Stetson in the Boyle Community Pediatrics Program as the program manager. Under her management, the Boyle Program developed several family-centered programs including family advisory boards, family faculty, “From the Other Side of the Stethoscope” at Geisel Medical School at Dartmouth, and Molly’s Place at the CHaD Family Center. She also formed relationships with the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care and the Institute for Patient & Family Centered Care, including national presentations and facilitation of Schwartz Center Rounds at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Toni retired from Dartmouth-Hitchcock in 2011. Her retirement was honored by the creation of the annual LaMonica Advocacy Award, for an outstanding pediatric resident. She has remained active with the Boyle Program as a volunteer including the CHaD Family Advisory Board, and is a clinical instructor in pediatrics at Geisel. She also volunteers at the Upper Valley Haven in the Healthy Eating Program, and at the VA Hospital in White River Junction.
