CEO of Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Jim is the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System. Prior to assuming the position of CEO in 2011, Jim served as the founding Chair of the Departments of Orthopaedics at Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Medical School; Director of The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice; and President of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic. He is a founding member of the High Value Healthcare Collaborative and is a member of the Institute of Medicine.
Jim has received over $60 million in federal research funding. He is the Principal Investigator of the Spine Patient Outcomes Research Trial (SPORT), and directs the NIH-sponsored, Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center in Musculoskeletal Health Care at Dartmouth and the T32 NIH training grant. He is Editor-in-Chief of Spine, and has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles.
