Maureen Hirtle is from Hooksett, NH and has been a member of PCW since January 2014. Since joining PCW, Maureen has become one of Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s greatest advocators and supporters. The Concord Monitor has published several of her letters that discuss Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Dr. Weinstein, and the Honoring Care Decisions initiative. She is a valued member of Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Patient Advisory Committee. Her perspective, knowledge, and passion are invaluable.
Maureen previously worked at Elbit Systems, a defense/avionics/medical instrument manufacturer, in Merrimack, NH as a quality expert. Her knowledge in quality and improvement makes her an excellent addition to the PCW Executive Committee.
Maureen is also a passionate supporter of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network here in NH. She has written emails and made calls to Congress members in Washington DC to request additional funding for pancreatic cancer research. She has had several letters published in local papers in order to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. Maureen lost both her mother and husband to pancreatic cancer, so it is a cause that’s very dear to her heart.
