Dr. Kraft joined the Dartmouth community in July 2014 as the Medical Director of the High Value Healthcare Collaborative and Vice President of Population Health-Community Engagement at Dartmouth Hitchcock. Prior to joining the Dartmouth Hitchcock health system, Dr. Kraft was the Medical Director of the UW Health Quality, Safety, and Innovation Department and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. At UW Health, Dr. Kraft served as executive physician leader developing the UW Health Quality, Safety and Innovation Department; a multidisciplinary team of engineers, quality coaches, and data analysts working across the delivery system providing expertise in process improvement and system redesign, education and training in improvement science, performance measurement, reporting, and regulatory preparedness. She earned her MD from the University of Michigan Medical School and holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Health Management and Policy. Dr. Kraft completed clinical training in Internal Medicine, followed by fellowships in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine at Stanford University. She worked at the Palo Alto Medical Clinic and as clinical faculty at Stanford University. After moving to Madison in 1993, she practiced in Wisconsin, returning to Palo Alto in 2006 to complete a fellowship in QI and Health Services at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute before assuming her role as medical director at UW Health.
